Sela for Newcastle United Football Club
Ahead of Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, we were tasked with creating a fan-favourite experience for 72-time award winning sponsor’s Sela. Our plan was to stage a spectacle of support so strong, it practically guaranteed a Newcastle win.
The magic
Pride projected. For the first time since 2011, the 390ft facade of Millbank Tower was illuminated in all its glory. We combined highlights from NUFC’s Carabao Cup campaign with stunning animations of Magpies soaring through London’s iconic landmarks. The match precursor perfectly captured the club and the fans’ joint journey to a historic final.

The measurement
The scoreboard says it all: a 2-1 victory for Newcastle United. But for Sela, the real win was in the hearts of fans. Hundreds took to social media to praise the display, calling it “goosebump” inducing, bringing “a lump to [their] throat.”
